missingWrote a review on Dec 07potential improvementsnew ownershippoor maintenance
A recent investment by the new owner hints at potential improvements on the horizon.
The room's decor feels decades past due, with a box spring that’s painfully noticeable under the mattress. Add lackluster maintenance-think mold in the shower, stained carpets, and walls that desperately need a fresh coat. The AC unit? Broken and a health hazard, with exposed elements that make you sweat by looking at it. Security feels like a joke with a non-functional lock and inadequate safety measures. For peace, plan your escape before nightfall-the noise from other guests and the general atmosphere are anything but soothing.

decent stay with great staff
The location was outstanding, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. The cheerful staff truly enhanced my experience, providing friendly service that made me feel welcome. I appreciated the cleanliness of the room which added to my comfortable stay, though the cat-friendly policy was a delightful surprise. The city view from my room was refreshing, allowing me to enjoy the hustle and bustle outside.

Very friendly management. Allowed to check in early. Spot was super clean and felt safe as I traveled solo. Convenient location with ample parking. I could only hope to find a little Sunshine everywhere I travel! :)

missingWrote a review on Nov 02smooth check-ininadequate securitydirty towels
The check-in process was smooth and efficient.
The security felt inadequate with no deadbolt on the door. The cleanliness of the room left much to be desired, with dirty towels and an overall 'lived in' look that raised concerns about hygiene. The neighborhood was unsettling, with people loitering and asking for money, which made unloading my car a bit nerve-wracking.

Sunshine Motel offered a clean stay, pet-friendly vibe, and I felt safe traveling solo. The price was right, but the room had a lingering cigarette smell. Decent for a brief visit.

The room offered a good price for a stay, but the heavy cigarette smell was quite off-putting. Staff were friendly and provided thoughtful service, especially when the manager offered a ride to nearby hot springs after learning the bike rental was unavailable. While the room was basic and quiet, it fell short of expectations due to its odor.

The room was clean and really quiet, which was nice. However, it definitely smelled like cigarettes, and that was a bit tough to deal with. The price felt a bit high for what it was, even though everything else was pretty basic. The staff were super friendly and helpful, which made a difference!

A Unique Stay with Warm Hospitality!
I appreciated the kindness of Jim at the front desk, who made check-in smooth despite a small hiccup with availability. The room had a homey feel, perfect for family bonding. Future guests should explore local eateries for a true taste of New Mexico!
